This is it!!!...Our Spa Weekend at CuttlebugChallenge !! What a fantastic way to start National Scrapbooking Day, May 3, by starting a day earlier and giving away some awesome prizes!! Read through my post so you can see what you must do to be entered to win one of many prizes being offered by our Design Team and some great sponsors!!
THE SUNFLOWER...(Helianthus annuus) is an annual plant in the family Asteraceae and native to the Americas, with a large flowering head (inflorescence). The stem can grow as high as 3 meters (9 3/4 ft) and the flower head can reach 30 cm (11.8 in) in diameter with the "large" seeds. The term "sunflower" is also used to refer to all plants of the genus Helianthus, many of which are perennial plants. (wikipedia)...
Let's forget for a moment those details from science class and let me share with you my feelings about the sunflower. Just the name alone makes me think of life, life that the sun gives us. It looks up to the sun for strength and growth just as I do. Imagine relaxing in a field of sunflowers letting the sun rejuvenate your very being. Oh, I just close my eyes and go into my little mental world of being one of the sunflowers with the clear blue sky above me and the bright sun whose rays peeking out from behind a cloud look like water pouring out of a watering can. Now that the sun has done it's miracle on me, it's time to relax in a tub of water allowing my body to absorb the wetness into my body and limbs. Again, I close my eyes and pretend I am that sunflower replenishing the water into the roots of my body.
Please share with me your favorite flower....
I would love to have you follow me as I express my creative "liberties". Leave me a comment and join my blog. Move on to the next 'flower' by clicking on Tracy . Keep a list of DT names and their flower so that once you have visited each 'flower' you can send an email to cuttlebugchallengecontest@gmail.com with your completed list.
