June ATC Angels

Here is what I sent out for my June swap. The card is a pretty linen in a light beige so I knew working with gold should work well. The corners are peel and stick stickers and the card and around the angel card was done with a gold pen. Simple and clean, but I like how it turned out.

Be Inspired Wednesday #36

It's Wednesday again and at Cuttlebug Challenge we call that 'Be Inspired Wednesday'!! Keeping Father's Day in mind (June 21) we were to create something masculine and emboss cardboard/grungeboard. I love the colors in my Basic Grey cardstock, so I let that set the theme for me. I took the cardboard backing to a DCWV stack and sprayed it with various shades of Glitter Mist. I then embossed it with the Bird Call folder. I then cut it to the size I wanted and adhered it to a DCWV brown cardstock. The bird was tapped with ink, but I wanted it darker so I used H2O and it worked perfectly for what I wanted. I also decided to place Flower Soft in a few areas. Yeah, I thought of pollen..lol I then embossed two pieces of chipboard using the Mosaic Texture folder and rubbed Craf-T metallic rub-on for color and popping. Brown ink over self stick border, added Prima flowers, and I was done. This was a very easy card to make and lots of fun playing with color!!..
Be sure to check out what the Design Team has for you this week!!!..I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration!!

First Copic Card

I don't remember who gave me the girl stamp, but isn't she cute!? I did this card for Lisa's stamp challenge at Have Your Way With Paper and the challenge was to do a 'bandana' print. Once I thought of what I wanted to do, I pulled out my Copics and colored up my stamp. Not bad for the first time..lol..The blue cardstock was stamped and then doodled with a white pen to get the bandana effect.

Sponsor Layout-Riff Raff

Love the chipboard I received from Riff Raff our June sponsor at Have Your Way With Paper. I chose to spray my word and heart with several colors of Glitter Mist, but it looks great just left untouched if you wanted. Yes, this is another Texas Retreat photo that I thought would be perfect for my sponsor product and getting to use some new stash. Love my Prima flowers and the butterflies are my newest Nestabilities purchase. Copic markers were used to color them. The continued title was done making my own rub-on.

Texas Retreat

June 4-6, 2009...what a fantastic time!!..I arrived on the 3rd which worked out even better for me. We were having a baby shower for Krissy and since there was a problem with my room assignment, the manager gave us the conference room for the shower!!..I couldn't sleep, so there I was in the middle of the night decorating for the party..

The girls started arriving on Thursday and what a joy to meet them in person. Lisa I had met once before on her trip to Disney a couple years back and it was exciting to give her a hug once again. What a great bunch of girls!!..Crazy, fun caring and loving. Once everyone got to the hotel, we had Krissy's baby shower. She was so surprised; what a treat to see the look on her face!!..Later that day, we had our pizza party!! Yep, pizza and beer for me!!..lol..

Friday was convention day!!..As you can see, we had these cute pink shirts to wear, but missing are the boas that Trisha brought for us. They were cute, but just to itchy to wear more than 10 seconds..lol..

There will be more about my trip and hopefully I can get the videos posted for you to see. Did I say these girls were crazy??..lol

Be Inspired Wednesday #34

Hi Everyone!!!..yes, I'm back with my Be Inspired Wednesday challenge. I know I've been missing with showing you my take on the Cuttlebug Challenge challenges, but here is what I have for you today. We were asked to use Basic Grey. Now, who doesn't have some Basic Grey in their stash? The line I used is called Oh! Baby Boy. No baby needed since this card could be used for anyone to just say hi or add a Happy Birthday inside. The green BG paper covering the card was embossed with my Cuttlebug folder and the stars were cut with my Cuttlebug star die. The circles were cut using Nestabilities and the top circle is a BG tag. Added touches of ColorBox chalk ink and Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic were used.
Be sure to check out the Cuttlebug Challenge blog to see what our design team has to share with you this week.
