CHA-Wall Decor

Rosemary Zuba

How exciting for me to present to you two new embossing folders from Provo Craft!!..These Cuttlebug folders are companion folders to the new cartridge, Wall Decor and since I knew of someone who just had a baby I was thrilled to received two folders that would work on a layout I wanted to do.

My background paper is My Minds Eye and the two baby folders were embossed using Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock. Stickles was added to the clothesline folder and ribbon and slider to the folder with all the embossed cute little baby clothing. Slider and paper flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts located in the UK. The pretty bling flower is from Prima. Butterflies (Fiskars and Marth Stewart punches) and title were cut using Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock. For the title, I used Cursive 101 and Design Studio to weld the letters together. The green mat is also Core'dinations. The pink stem was a gift from a friend; sorry don't know the company.

Be Inspired Wednesday #94 Cha Cha Cha

Because this week is CHA in Chicago, the Design Team was asked to do a fun project with a musical flair.   After looking through my Cricut cartridges, I found the cutest duckie in the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.  With this cut, you also get the musical notes; how perfect was that! I embossed a white card with Swiss Dots and then lightly went over the embossing with blue ink from K&Company.  Martha Steward daisy flower was trimmed down, a little orange chalk on the duck, Stickles on the musical notes and some pearls to dress up 'miss' duckie. The butterflies were punched with my Fiskars punch, green Cor'dinations sanded for the bottom with computer print on vellum.  I thought blue google eyes would maker 'her' look even cuter..!!

Christmas Around the Clock CD Frame

How exciting to be a part of Christmas Day July 25!!..Our design team has been featuring project today with mine scheduled for 1:00.  Continue to check out Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot for more projects to follow throughout the day.

My project is a CD frame!!
What you want to do is cut your cardstock to fit INSIDE the CD case. Each side is a different measurement, so be careful with your cuts. For me, I still needed to trim some even after measuring, but since I was prepared for that, I was ok with it. I used Clue Arts tape runner in the center to keep the cardstock in place; I knew it would be covered up when I did the outside of the case. Once you get your cardstock in place, it’s time to decorate. For my printed cardstock I used Joann’s Peppermint Forest (solid was DCWV) and several Provo Craft embossing folders; Poka Dots, Swiss Dots, Snowflakes, Christmas Countdown and Japanese Scales. Cricut cartridges used were, Pooh and Friends (book), Joys of the Season (tree and ornament), Lacy Labels (back label), Cursive 101 (date) and Wild Card (frame). Also used were Prima flowers, Creative Memories stickers, Stickles, Martha Stewart inkpad, EK Success snowflake punch and computer journaling.
Be sure to check out what our Design Team has to show you!!!
and have a Very Merry Christmas!!

There will be Cuttlebug prizes to the person who does the most challenges during our Christmas Around the Clock.   Visit Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot to post your entries; you have until August 1st

Cuttlebug Challenge #93-Christmas In July

Our challenge this week was to do a Christmas card based on a sketch from our design team member Diane Campell Payne. For my card, I gave it a different angle from the sketch posted, but that's the fun thing about sketches..you can play around with it to make it your own!!..

For the embossing I used my Snowflake Cuttlebug folder on plain white cardstock for the frame and then used Scotch mounting tape to pop it. The same embossing folder was used for the squares and they too were popped. The printed cardstock is Joann's Peppermint Forest. From silver thread I hung silver confetti snowflakes. The large snowflake was cut using my Joy of the Season Cricut cartridge and then 'Stickled' with silver.

Cuttlebug Challenge #91

Thought I would take the time today and do a challenge for Cuttlebug Challenge.  Today's challenge was doilies and lace, so I pulled out a paper heart doily and lace ribbon to see what I can do.  I brought my supplies to my friend Kristi's house and made use of her cuttlebug embossing folder.  Sorry, I forgot to write down the name of the one I used.  Simple card, but I love the colors and how well my lace matched the new flowers I just bought.

More layouts

I love having photos to do my special layouts!..These photos were taken on my recent trip to see the kids.  Ian's layouts are pretty simple, but I love getting to play with flowers and 'girly' embellishments for Nina's layouts.

Photo Shoot

Nina ia such a natural!!...All I need is my camera and she is ready to do her 'photo shoot'.  I wanted to do a page that didn't look like a finished layout page.  I'm pleased wth the way this came out.
