Be Inspired Wednesday #103

In honor of World Card Making Day (October 2) the Design Team was asked to make cards for the occasion.  If you are a seasoned card maker or just starting out, be sure to head over to Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot to see what our Design Team has to share with you this week.

I decided to have fun with a color combo that I thought would look striking together on my card.  First I embossed my card with my Plum Blossoms, then added a border cut with my Martha Steward lattice punch.  The bird stamp is a digital stamp, but unfortunately, I don't remember where I found it. That was colored in with my Copic markers and then cut with my Nestability die.  The tag was also cut with a Nestability.  Flowers are from Wild Orchard and the branches were cut with a Sizzix die. A little touch of Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic and Stickles were added along with several colors of chalk.

Cuttle Your Pages Friday 9-24

For today, our challenge was to emboss punch cuts.

Our sponsor this week at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot is Whoopsi Daisy who treated us with the cutest digital stamps.  While looking at the stamps to choose, I saw a stamp that look familiar.  I knew it wasn't the stamp itself, but something about it so I knew I had to have it.  When I looked at my photos of Nina, I found the photo that made the stamp I was looking at so special.

I knew I had to do a layout of the two side by side, so in my mind I started to format what I wanted my layout to look like. I kept it simple with a glitter border and some embossed flowers.  For my flowers I used French Manor and Lacy Labels.  The centers were cut using my EK Success and Marvey punches.  My title was cut using Cursive 101 and Base Camp. The one top flower is Prima.

Cuttle Your Pages Friday 9-17

In keeping with our Be Inspired Wednesday at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, I am using ATC size cards I received from Crafty Secrets.

After seeing the cards I received from Crafty Secrets, my layout just popped into my head. All I needed to do was take a few photos of Joe’s Flower Garden to bring it all together.

My flower pot and flowers was cut using my Walk In My Garden cartridge. My Prima flowers and cut flowers were then embossed with Textile Texture embossing plate. Small butterflies were punched using my Martha Stewart punch and embossed with Screened Angle for one and Herringbone for the other. The large butterfly is Cuttlebug cut and emboss. My title was printed through my computer.  My heart is one of the cute flowers and folded over to make a dimensional heart.  All cuts were done with Core'dinations cardstock.

Be Inspired Wednesday #101

Today our sponsor at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot is Crafty Secrets who sent us the cutest nostalgia cards for our challenge.  One of the cards I received was this lovely lady with the updo hair and pretty hat.  I decided to dress her up just a little more with a flower.
The embossing folder I used is Flourished Frame and the way it's designed allowed me to pop the 2.5 x 3.5 card inside the 'framed' area.  Inking over the embossed area gave this design a stand out look. I then finished it off with Prima cardstock and lace, a few pretty flowers and a ribbon.

My son Joey will be having a birthday this month which brought me back to his first birthday party.  While checking the album for those birthday photos I also found the Donald Duck invite that was sent out.

For my border, I used 2x12 strips of DCWV cardstock and embossed with my Provo Craft Polka Dot folder. This folder is the 5x7 size which I love.

Be Inspired Wednesday #99

It's time once again for our Be Inspired Wednesday at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot! Our sponsor this week is My Pink Stamper who was kind enough to send the design team these cute little clear stamps.  For my project, I made an anniversay card and the little stamp 'on your special day' was perfect.

Both the card and popped chipboard frame were embossed with my Victoria embossing folder.  The frame was 'colored' with a metalic rub-on from Craft-T Products.  The flowered cartdstock is from DCWV and using my Smooch I painted in the leaves for a little color.  The cluster of flowers were done with Wild Orchard flowers with cut pieces of string pearls for a little added flair.

Be sure to check out what our design team has to share with you this week and don't forget to take our Be Inspired Wednesday Challenge.  The prize for this week will be a set of the Punny-Licious Stamps!!
